Man Mo Temple

I have always had a liking for this temple as it worships the deities of Literature and of War.  Rather interesting combination IMHO.   The temple is located on Hollywood Road on Hong Kong Island (Note:  The early British settlers named it Hollywood Road after Hollywood, the family home of Hong Kong's second British governor, Sir John Francis Davis, near Bristol, England., not the film capitol).  Today, the temple is seemingly overwhelmed by the high rises that stand behind it.  But despite that, it remains a serene place for spiritual value to quietly flourish.

Alas, they did not allow photography inside the temple so the following photos were culled from the Internet.  Perhaps the photographers were allowed permission to take pictures or they blithely ignored the prohibition.  Not wishing to offend the gods, I abided by the rules. :-)  The first photo is of a portion of the pantheon of spiritual beings on the roof-line of the temple and the other photos are of the actual interior of the temple.  Teri, Kacy, Pat, and myself all lit incense sticks as our offerings to the gods here.
