Rainbow Seafood Restaurant

Yes indeed, yet another post about food.  :-)  After our arduous hike across Lamma Island, we stopped at the Rainbow Seafood Restaurant in Sok Kwu Wan on the southern part of the island.  Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we immediately ordered Blue Girl beer.  Once we had quenched our thirst, we proceeded to order.  I should say Teri proceeded to order from the wide variety of fresh seafood that was swimming about in the tanks at the restaurant.  After discussing it with the woman at the restaurant, the choices were made.

The meal was superb, the beer was refreshing, and most importantly of all, the company was very congenial and pleasant.  Once we had finished our dinner, we took the Rainbow Seafood Restaurant ferry boat back to Tsim Sha Tsui.  From the pier, it was a short walk to our hotel.

Hmmm, the very first photo was of the first two Blue Girl beers that we enjoyed.  Does this mean the beer was the best part of our meal?  :-)  The last two photos were of the giant shrimp, practically the size of a small lobster, and a delicious clam with garlic and black bean sauce.  All of us had one of each.  Teri was thinking of ordering two of the shrimp for each of us but we were glad that she decided not to as it would have too much food, no matter how delicious it was.

  1. Looks great! How's the weather? Who is that lady in that picture with mom? And most importantly, how was the lai li ha? I need to start checking your blog at lunchtime, not 9 AM.

  2. Weather here has been warm, mid to high 80s, but overcast much of the time. If it were not for the humidity, it would be pleasant. But with the humidity, it is sweat inducing anytime you walk outside. Hence, we seek air conditioning places such as museums as often as we can.

  3. Forgot to mention that the lady in the photo with Mom is the same person who helped us on our last visit to the Rainbow Seafood Restaurant on Lamma Island. The "lai nil" ha was really great, practically as if we were eating a small lobster. We were provided with scissors in order to cut it open. Really superb seafood feast.
