Under Bridge Spicy Crab

I am somewhat behind in my posting and may be even more so on June 21 as that is the day we are traveling to Singapore.  I will try to catch up once I settle in.  Be that as it may, on our last night in Hong Kong, we managed to find Under the Bridge Spicy Crab in Causeway Bay.  We had first heard about it in Anthony Bourdain's episode on Hong Kong and wanted to try it. We had high expectations about the food based upon Bourdain's very positive comments.

Confirming his favorable comments, the dinner was indeed a delicious seafood feast.  We had clams in black bean sauce, lai nil hai (the giant prawns that were were closer to small lobsters than the typical shrimp found at Long John Silver's), deep fried chicken wings, two spicy crabs, and a vegetable dish comprised of Morning Glory just to sort of balance things out.  Needless to say, we drank Blue Girl beer with our dinner.

The photo on the left is a collage of photographs that include Anthony Bourdain and the chef in the middle.  On the right is a photo of the deep fried chicken wings, the morning glory vegetables, and the clams in black bean sauce.
